Q: What is the Asset Manager?
The Asset Manager is a central component of the Envrmnt Creator platform. All of the content you use in AR Designer (and in World Maker and other future XR apps) and viewed by your end-users can be found in the Asset Manager.
AM is the front end of Envrmnt's EvrVault, a specialized cloud server built for speed, performance, and volume. All content uploaded to Asset Manager gets ingested into EvrVault.
Q: What can I do in the Asset Manager?
We intend to provide a suite of management tools and features. For now, what you can do depends on what type of content it is:
- 3D models - preview, use in multiple experiences, tagging, delete
- videos - preview, download a copy
- images (for thumbnails) - preview, download a copy
In the next release, we hope to provide the ability to all types to tag, delete, and to use in multiple experiences. We also are planning special team and project tags, as well as versioning.
Q: Why are my trigger images not appearing in the Asset Manager?
Trigger images are not considered "content" in AR Experiences. They are in fact the anchor for the virtual content you provide. We depict trigger images in the ARD workspace only as a reference upon which you add augmented content.
Also, you cannot use a trigger image in more than one experience. There is no purpose for it in AM.
